SVR Global is the top Floating ball valve manufacturer in USA. Our valves are a favorite in the power generating, chemical, and oil and gas industries in Texas, Ohio, and New Jersey. A floating ball valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a disk with a ball-like form to control fluid flow. It is called a “floating” ball valve because the ball floats freely as the valve opens and closes because it is not restrained but just floats between two or more seats. This valve was made from forging material. Amongst all other materials, forging material is stronger at higher temperatures and pressure. Moreover, they are also highly resistant to fatigue cracking.
This type of valve controls liquids or gases passing through a rotating, drag-producing ball. Irrespective of the time period in which the valve is not used, they have an extremely long lifespan and work to their best even then. These valves are relatively more user-friendly. To open them, one has to spin the lever handle clockwise and close them by doing just the opposite.

Working:
When the valve is in the closed position, the valve seats close tightly around the ball to keep it in place. In terms of function, the stem turns the ball ninety degrees when the actuator or handle is turned. When the ball is in the open position, the hole lines up with the pipeline, and the liquid flows through. When the ball is closed, it turns such that its solid part shuts off the flow. The ball floats so that it can be moved a little downstream by the building pressure and remains tightly sealed on the downstream seat and ensures positive shutdown.

Advantages of Floating Ball Valve
Excellent sealability: Floating ball valves use soft seals for creating a tight shut-off between the ball and the valve body and to avoid contamination of product.
Higher flow rate: The streamlined shape of the floating ball valve about a floating ball enables high flow capacities that are suitable for applications requiring a high volume.
Flexibility: Floating ball valves can handle any type of fluid. Sulfuric acid and acidulated water, slurries, gases, as well as other fluids-abrasive and corrosive or neutral-can be handled in them.
Low operating torque: The floating ball valves require relatively lower operating torque. This enables easy operation manually, or with the aid of automated actuators.
This floating ball valve comes with an extremely simple design. It supports easy maintenance and repair facilities. This reduces downtime and decreases maintenance cost.
SVR Global is the certified Floating ball valve manufacturer in USA and its valves have the following technical applications:
Highly used in the oil and gas industry as flow controllers of crude oil, natural gas, etc., using pipelines and processing facilities.
Used in regulating chemical flow through pipelines in a chemical processing plant.
Flow regulation in water for use in water treatment plants across all stages of the treatment processes.
Applied in power stations to make the flow of steam, water, and other fluids through turbines and other mechanical devices manageable.
